Check out the Windsor Family Tree.

In the last update—Grandpa George passed away at Lily’s fifth birthday party. Everyone was devastated from the loss, but they learned to deal with the pain of death in their own way. Sophie adopted a kitten, Omi. Lily spent time with her best friend, Severus. Edward discovered that he’s gay while clubbing at the Crypto-Night Club. The family accepted Edward when he came out to them, and they semi-adopted Edward’s homeless boyfriend, Joshua.

Quick author’s note—Off-screen, the Windsors adopted two of Daniel and Ashlee Turner’s kittens from their shelter. Victoria adopted Hathor, and Lily adopted Isis. Also, I’m doing something extremely weird this update. I really wanted Philip and Amaya to move back into the Windsor house. Philip is the heir, and they are pregnant, so it’s time for them to move back. But, that would be 9 sims in one house, which won’t work. I had a lot of options, but what I ended up doing needs some explanation. I had Andrew move next door with some of the kids. I played both houses together one day at a time and mostly had the whole family invited over all the time, so it was like this round was played in one house, even though it was played in two. I’m blogging the two houses together for this round. Next round, I’ll do it more traditionally, but for this round, it just wouldn’t have worked to have played the main house, have Lily grow-up before her big sisters, etc. Hope this works for you.

Also, this round has a mild mature content warning. I use the H-word once or twice. Also there are some more mature themes hinted at, but I was careful to never exactly say anything that would truly make it more mature.

Season 8—Summer

“I’m going to have to move out, Elizabeth. There just isn’t any other way around it,” Andrew Windsor tried to explain to his wife.

“No, Andrew, we can’t break up our family. I just couldn’t take that!” Elizabeth cried.

“Would you rather tell Philip and Amaya that they can’t move back in yet? Philip will eventually inherit the house, but we could let them live with the Turners a while longer. They’d have to care for the new baby by themselves, though.”

“God, no,” Elizabeth gasped. “A romance sim and a pleasure sim trying to raise a baby . . . I can’t even imagine. No, we need to be there for our grandchild.”

“Then someone has to move out to make room for them. Even with James in college, our family plus the baby would be nine sims in this house. Heck, you might as well call that ten, considering that Joshua sleeps here most nights. We need more space, plain and simple.”

“Oh, Andrew, I’m going to miss you so much!” Elizabeth continued to cry. Breaking up a household was too much for a family sim.

“It will be okay. I’ll have a second home built just next door. I can move there with our kids. You stay here. Philip and Amaya are going to need a family sim to help care for the baby. I promise the kids and I will come over every night for dinner as a family. We can still spend all of our time together. We just need more bedrooms. This is how it has to be.”

“Let me keep Lily. I love all of our children, but . . . my little Lily, I couldn’t bear to be separated from her. She’s still so young. She needs her mother.” Elizabeth felt guilty that she was willing to let any of her children move out, but it did make more sense to let the older children live with their father. Lily and the new grandchild would need her the most.

Finally, it was decided. Andrew sold Windsor library. It hurt to sell the place. He’d had big dreams for it, but even James seemed less interested in running the business lately. He used the money to buy a house next door. Andrew, Edward, Victoria, and Sophie moved to a smaller home next to Windsor manor.

Lily got home from school that day very confused. There wasn’t anyone home at all. She was home completely alone!

Apparently Elizabeth had forgotten that Lily would need a nanny since Lily’s teenage siblings weren’t living in the house anymore. Luckily, Lily was a very smart little girl. She went inside and called her brother Philip. Philip and Amaya raced over when they heard that poor Lily was home alone.

Elizabeth returned home from work oblivious of her mistake. She’d had a good day at work. She’d finally been promoted and reached the top of the education career. This achieved Elizabeth’s lifetime want. She was so excited to share the news with Lily when she got home.

“Mommy, I’m so happy for you, but you forgot me today. I’m too little to stay home without Edward, Victoria, or Sophie here to stay with me,” Lily said as she hugged her mother.

Elizabeth was horrified as she thought of what could have happened. She was just so use to having teenagers in the house, she had completely forgotten that there wouldn’t be anyone home when Lily got home that day. She was extremely grateful when she looked up and found her oldest son, Philip, standing behind Lily. “Thank you so much for coming when she called.” Elizabeth embraced her son.

“Not a problem, Mom. I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for my baby sister. You know that,” Philip explained. He’d always resented Edward and even Victoria and Sophie. But Lily had joined the family after Philip was a bit older. He was mature enough by then to want to be friends with his younger siblings.

“You are going to move in with us, right? I just can’t wait to help with my grandbaby!” Elizabeth exclaimed.

“Of course we’re moving in. Amaya is not too thrilled with the prospect of being a mother, and well . . . I want to be a good father, but . . . we could use a family sim’s help.”

The households were finally set with everyone living where they belonged.

Things were going well for the other half of the Windsor family. The girls were adjusting to their new home okay. They still had each other to play with.

But everyone was thrilled to be together as a family again for Victoria and Sophie’s birthday party. Victoria raced to hug her mom while Lily made a beeline for her father. Grandpa George had taught this family the importance of closeness, so it was hard for them to be apart.

As Victoria blew out the candles on her cake, she wished that she would be able to max out all of her skills someday. She loved knowledge and wanted to know everything about everything.

Sophie grew-up into quite the knock-out. She knew it, too. Sophie chose pleasure as her aspiration like her brothers Philip and Edward had done. She, however, wanted more than just dream dates. Sophie wanted to be a professional party guest some day. She was popular at school. Her new great looks would help her take her popularity even further. She’d be famous, like her movie star brother Philip, but she wouldn’t have to do any real work of her own. Just being a popular celebrity’s kid sister would probably get her into a bunch of great parties.

The Windsors decided to take a couple of family photos, since they were all together for the party. Even James had come home from college for the girl’s birthday party.

With all of their natural-born children adults or teens, it was finally time for Andrew and Elizabeth to admit that they were elders. Andrew went ahead and blew out the candles on his own cake and retired from his job. He loved the hospital, but he’d spent the vast majority of his life there. Running the hospital was a job for a younger man.

Amaya was getting bigger and bigger by the day. Philip had never seen a pregnant sim as big as Amaya. “You know, my Grandpa George used to always tease my mother that she was going to have twins when she was pregnant, but I think you really might. You’d better have two babies in there, as big as your belly is,” Philip commented.

“Hey!” Amaya slapped him.

Amaya went into labor just a few days later. Philip had to compose himself to remember to drive Amaya to the hospital.

Amaya gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Caroline.

Caroline Windsor—Female baby sim

“Huh, I sound a lot like Grandpa George, but I was sure you were going to have twins,” Philip informed his wife. “I guess you were just fat behind the baby.”

Amaya hit him. She really did need to get back into shape, but that wasn’t the sort of thing you were supposed to tell a woman who had just given birth.

Philip turned out to be a great dad. Amazingly enough, he was the one that would wake up with Caroline in the middle of the night to get her a bottle. Of course, he occasionally read the sports section while watching his daughter. He wasn’t one to sit and coo over her, but he ended up being the primary caregiver for Caroline as a baby.

Elizabeth loved her granddaughter and nothing made her happier than caring for her, but being an elder was draining her more than she had anticipated. She was often too tired to help with Caroline the way she would like. It had been a while since she’d had to get up in the middle of the night with a baby.

During the day when Elizabeth did have a bit more energy, she spent her time gardening. She got into the gardening club, earned a gold gardening badge and a wishing well for the house.

Back to work, Amaya was earning promotions in the music field again. Her short leave of absence just made her fans clamor for more albums. Philip was considering starting a new career of his own. He was a super celebrity actor like he’d always dreamed of being, but Philip just didn’t find it rewarding anymore. It was just another movie, some more money. He wanted to do something more beneficial. His mind kept turning to his Grandpa George’s dreams for him. He’d always wanted Philip to go into politics, like all of the Windsor ancestors had. It was crazy, leaving his high paying acting job to go into politics, but it felt like the right thing to do. Philip felt like he was finally growing up and taking on the responsibility that Grandpa George had always known was right for him. Philip decided to do it. He ran for a position in Emerald Isle’s senate. It was a tough campaign, but Philip won. He was a Senator of Emerald Isle and on his way up in the politics career.

It was also apparent to Philip that he needed to accept other responsibilities as well. It was his duty to have a male heir for the Windsor family. If he didn’t, then the Windsor home and all of the Windsor inheritance would go to one of his younger brothers. He loved Caroline dearly, but it was a Windsor family tradition to pass inheritance along to the eldest male child. As much as Philip knew Amaya feared having another baby, it was their duty. He decided to explain it all to her early one morning as she woke-up.

“What!” Amaya screamed when Philip was done explaining it. “I do not remember anything about producing a male heir in our marriage vows. I didn’t sign up for having babies. I kept Caroline when I found out I was pregnant, but I am NOT getting pregnant again. Forget that!”

“We have to have a male heir, Amaya. I know I should have told you, but at the time, I was okay with walking away from my inheritance. Now I realize that head of this family is the role I belong in. And, I don’t want to risk losing my or Caroline’s inheritance, do you? If we flat out refuse to try for a boy, my parents could decide to disposes us and give everything to my brother James. Is that what you want?”

“No, but . . .”

“It’s best for us to go ahead and get it over with, Amaya. The sooner we have a boy, the better. Then everyone will be off our backs, and we’ll still have my mother around to help raise the children. Besides . . . as I recall, you seem to like the try for baby part. We’ll have to do that a lot if we hope to get pregnant.”

“Well, when you put it that way . . . okay, we can try for a boy,” Amaya acquiesced.

In the meantime, Sophie’s cat Omi grew-up into a very beautiful cat. Sophie cooed and cuddled it. It was such a gorgeous cat; she decided it had to breed. So, she had it mate with Victoria’s cat, Hathor.

Omi wasn’t the only one Sophie was convincing to do things. She begged and pleaded with her brother Edward until he finally agreed to take her clubbing.

“Explain to me again why we’re letting your little sister tag along with us here,” Joshua asked.

“To shut her up,” Edward admitted. “She’s been nagging me nonstop. I’m hoping that if we just let her come along once she’ll realize that the clubs we go to don’t have her type of people and she’ll leave me alone to go back to her socializing cheerleader friends.”

“Okay,” Joshua said with some trepidation.

“Let’s go dance while we can. I’m betting that she’ll last all of five minutes here before she decides she wants me to take her home,” Edward said.

“Oh my God!” Joshua’s jaw dropped.

“What?” Edward asked.

“You may not want to look at who your sister is dancing with,” Joshua commented.

Edward shrugged after a quick glance. “So he’s a bit goth. That’s all she’s going to find at this club. I’m not worried. He’s completely not her type. She hangs with those preppy letterman’s club kind of guys.”

Joshua put a hand on his boyfriend’s shoulder. “Oh man, I don’t want to be the one to tell you this. There’s no delicate way to break this to you. I know that kid. He’s . . . well, he’s another runaway, like me, but . . . umm . . . I’ve seen him do stuff that even I wouldn’t do for money.”

“And, she doesn’t seem to mind that he’s not her type,” Joshua gestured toward the pair. The boy had his tongue halfway down Sophie’s throat.

“Oh Hell No!” Edward exploded as he rushed to protect his little sister. Joshua caught his shoulder before he charged off.

“If you make a scene here, she’ll only want him more. You know as well as I do how a rebellious pleasure teen will react to being told what to do,” Joshua reminded him.

“But Sophie isn’t rebellious. She’s captain of the freaking cheerleading squad and a straight A student.”

“Well some part of her is obviously rebellious. Some part of her wanted to come here in the first place. Just, let her be for now. Let her get it out of her system. You can explain to her when we leave what bad news he is.”

Edward slowly nodded. Joshua was right. He didn’t want to push Sophie towards the little slut. Left on her own, she’d probably quickly tire of him. She liked art museums and eating out at fancy restaurants. Her fixation with this boy wouldn’t last for long. “I don’t think I’ll be able to keep my mind off of worrying about her all night,” Edward confided in his boyfriend. He wasn’t a family sim and would never admit to caring about his sister so much, but he did. He felt a strong urge to protect her.

“Sure you will, just concentrate on me. I’m sure that I can manage to keep you distracted until we leave,” Joshua teased.

Edward brought Sophie home well after curfew, but Andrew didn’t notice. Victoria was good at covering for her party-loving sister. Quietly, Edward talked to Sophie in his bedroom. He tried to feel her out. Hopefully she’d never want to go back to the Crypto-Night Club or see that boy again. Of course he had no such luck.

“Do you think we can sneak out there again tomorrow, Edward? That was so much fun!” Sophie exclaimed.

Edward sighed. “You’re not going back there again. It’s no place for an innocent girl.”

“I’m hardly innocent,” Sophie bristled.

“You are compared to the people there. Look, Sophie, that guy you were with . . .”

“Loren, his name is Loren,” Sophie said defensively.

There was no way around it. Edward had to tell her the entire truth about what he knew about Loren and why she could never see him again. Hopefully, she’d be so appalled that she’d never want to go clubbing with him again.

“You’re telling me that he’s living on the street all alone with no shelter and no food . . . and . . . and . . .” Sophie couldn’t finish the sentence.

“Yeah, Sophie. I’m sorry,” Edward said sadly.

“We have to help him!” Sophie said a little bit too loudly before she remembered that she shouldn’t raise her voice. Her father was sleeping in the next room.

“Sophie, no,” Edward sighed. “Loren’s bad news. You need to stay away from him.”

“He’s probably tired and hungry, and scared and all alone out there. God only knows what happened to him to get him to where he is now. And you’re going to judge HIM for what he’s done to survive?”

“Sophie . . .”

“I would have thought of all sims, you’d be more understanding, Edward. It sounds like he’s just like Joshua,” Sophie hissed.

“He’s not like Joshua,” Edward replied.

“Oh yeah, how’s it different?”

“It’s . . . it’s . . . it’s different because you’re my little sister, okay?” Edward finally admitted.

“Just save it!” Sophie growled before racing out of the house. She didn’t even know where she was really going. She stole Edward’s keys to his car and drove downtown. Before she gave it anymore thought, she found herself in the alley behind the Crypto-Night Club. There were more teens back there than she’d ever imagined could be living on the street, but she found Loren easily enough.

“Sophie!” Loren gasped the moment he saw her. His eyes went wide before he dropped his gaze to the pavement. It was obvious that he was embarrassed that she was seeing him there, but he was equally obviously confused. “Wha—What are you doing here?”

Sophie had to remind herself to check her anger. It wasn’t really Loren she was angry with, and she didn’t want him to misinterpret the anger in her voice. “Are you hungry?”

Loren didn’t immediately reply, but the desperation in his eyes as he looked back up at her answered for him. He looked like he didn’t want to admit it, but he slowly nodded his head. He was apparently too starving to deny it.

“Come on, I’m buying you breakfast,” Sophie ordered. Loren didn’t put up any argument as he followed her to the car.

Oresha Family Dining was open 24 hours. Loren looked humiliated as he stared at the menu. “I’ll just have toast,” he murmured.

“I told you I’d buy,” Sophie whispered. When the waitress arrived she ordered eggs for both of them.

“Who told you,” Loren finally got up the nerve to ask quietly.

“My brother’s boyfriend, Joshua, recognized you,” Sophie answered honestly.

Loren nodded his recognition at the name. He looked as if he could start sobbing at any second, but he kept his gaze focused on his plate as he asked “What do you want me to do to pay you back for the eggs?”

“Loren, I don’t expect you to do anything for me. You don’t have to pay me back!” Sophie tried to block out her thoughts of what Loren might ordinarily have to do for food. She pulled a piece of paper out of her purse and wrote on it. “Look, this is my cell phone number. You call me anytime, day or night. If you’re hungry or need something I’ll come, anytime. I don’t expect anything in return.”

“Why would you do that?” Loren didn’t attempt to hide his confusion.

“Because I like you, Loren. You’re a really sweet kid and you deserve better than what you’ve got in life.”

“I can really call you anytime and you’ll just come help me no questions asked? And you don’t want me to do anything in return?” Loren’s disbelief was obvious.

Sophie nodded. “Yeah, and I’m going to show you where I live and how you can get up to my room if you need somewhere safe to sleep.”

After Loren finished every bite off his plate, Sophie drove him to her home and gave him directions on how to get there from downtown. She even pointed out the tree he’d need to climb to get up to her room.

“What about your family?” Loren asked. He didn’t want to get caught by Sophie’s father. He’d probably be arrested if he did get caught.

“My dad never notices when we come and go and my sister Victoria is really good at covering for me. Once I explain everything to her, she won’t mind if you sneak into our bedroom to sleep in my bed.”

“Why are you doing all of this for me, Sophie?” Loren asked. His face showed that he found it incomprehensible that someone would just want to help him.

“Because I already love you, Loren,” Sophie finally admitted as she caressed Loren’s cheek.

“Come back here tonight. You can sneak into my room and get some rest,” she suggested.

Loren did follow Sophie’s directions that night. He was scared, but once he scaled the tree, he found Sophie waiting for him in her room just like she’d promised.

“I’m so glad you came,” Sophie said with relief when she saw Loren.

“Thank you for doing this for me. You’re . . . you’re the first person in my entire life that’s ever been nice to me, Sophie.” Loren was trying hard to keep back his tears.

Sophie wrapped him in a hug. “Everything is going to be alright now, Loren.”

From then on, the Windsors had two runaways crashing at their house most nights. Andrew knew about Joshua sleeping on the couch pretty much every night, but Victoria and Sophie kept Loren’s presence hidden. Edward and Joshua did eventually figure out that he was sleeping there, too, but after seeing how loyal Loren seemed to Sophie, they decided that maybe they had been wrong about him. Joshua realized that Loren had just been given as bad a break in life as he had, and he deserved a chance to redeem himself.

Edward and Joshua still enjoyed dating and clubbing every night. At least now Sophie no longer begged to tag along.

Despite living in two separate houses, the family was still pretty close. Everyone was excited for the double birthday party. It was Lily’s thirteenth birthday. The youngest Windsor child was finally becoming a teen. But, it was also Caroline’s second birthday. The next generation was growing up, too. All of the Windsor children came to the party. Edward brought Joshua. His parents had practically adopted him as well. Sophie didn’t invite Loren, though. She didn’t want her father to find out about her near live-in boyfriend, and Loren shied around crowds anyway. Lily got to invite a few friends. She invited Severus and Harry Turner and Sandy Cory.

As she blew out the candles on her cake, Lily wished only that everyone would remain as good friends as they were right then.

Everyone cheered as Lily grew-up and announced that she wanted to be Mayor of Emerald Isle someday. Of course Philip vowed to help her get into politics. The Windsors would be running all of Emerald Isle before long.

The Windsor family decided to take a few more family photos. It was nice to remember the times that the family was together.

“Joshua, get over here,” Elizabeth Windsor called. “You’re a part of this family, too.”

Joshua nearly broke into tears. He was so happy to be included as part of a loving family.

Edward couldn’t hold himself back any longer. He embraced his boyfriend and gave him a huge kiss. Lily gave the thumbs up. She was so happy to be a teenager finally. The whole Windsor family was pretty happy.

The party went on full swing. Elizabeth decided to take the time to get to know Joshua a little bit better. They’d really never talked about what interested him before.

Lily noticed that Severus had become even more quiet and withdrawn than normal. He’d stood next to her in the family portraits after her insistence, but he’d gone completely into his shell afterwards. He hadn’t said a word or even really looked up since then. Lily knew that Severus wasn’t one for parties, but she was still concerned. She went to the quiet of the study, a room she knew Severus felt the most comfortable in, and called him over.

“You called, Lily,” Severus came immediately to her call.

“What’s wrong, Sev. You’ve been so quiet tonight. I can tell when something’s wrong, so truth, what gives?” Lily asked.

Lily noticed the corner of Severus’ lips twist upward as he thought over his answer. Finally he shook his head and whispered, “I’m a good liar, but I won’t lie to you.”

“Good,” she whispered, confused.

Severus swallowed hard. Finally he sighed before confessing the truth in a hushed rush of words. “You’re so pretty now, Lily, and you’re going to be popular. What use are you going to have for me anymore?”

“Oh, Severus,” Lily sighed. “You always anticipate the worst from people.”

“I’ve learnt that if you always expect the worst then life rarely disappoints,” he admitted.

“Oh, Sev, that’s heartbreaking!” Lily exclaimed. She had no doubt that in parts of his life that sentiment had been very true. “But not everything in your life has been like that. What about Will and Shenene?”

“You’re right . . . they . . . they’ve been amazing to me. They were nothing like I expected from adoptive parents. Being adopted by them is the luckiest thing that’s ever happened to me. I can’t even stand to think of what things might have been like if they hadn’t adopted me.”

“You don’t have to anticipate the worst from them, and you don’t from me either. You’re my best friend, Severus, and I’ll always stand by you,” Lily promised as she softly caressed Severus’ cheek.

After the roof raiser party, things settled down for the Windsor family. Amaya started helping out more with Caroline. She felt guilty for making Philip do all of the work. He had his new career to think about now, too, so she needed to do her part.

Elizabeth had been real nice and helping out more, too. She’d finally adjusted to being an elder and was happy to help out with her granddaughter.

She even made Amaya cheesecake. She said something about it being an old family remedy for helping with the needs drain of pregnancy.

Edward graduated from high school that summer. He decided to apply at Academie Le Tour, like Philip and James had done before him. He was very happy when he got his acceptance letter, but even happier when he learned that he had been granted scholarships for grades, cooking, charisma, athletics, logic, creativity, and dancing.

“I got accepted into Academie Le Tour and got a ton of scholarships!” Edward happily informed his boyfriend.

“You’re . . . you’re moving to college?” Joshua asked, stunned.

“Yeah, isn’t that great?” Edward was so ecstatic, he couldn’t contain his enthusiasm.

“Yeah, it’s . . . fantastic,” Joshua said as he turned around to hide his tears.

“Joshua, what’s wrong?” Edward asked. Even though he couldn’t see the tears in his boyfriend’s eyes, he could see the slump of his shoulders and hear the sadness in his voice.

“Nothing,” Joshua said, pulling himself together. He turned to face Edward again. “You know I love you very much, Edward, and this is great news for you. I’m happy for you; I am.” His voice cracked a little at the end.

“What’s wrong?” Edward insisted a little more firmly.

“I’m going to miss you!” Joshua snapped. He finally let the tears fall as he realized all this meant for him. “Do you think your dad might let me still sleep here sometimes?” he choked.

“What? You’re coming with me,” Edward said adamantly.

“Me, in college? You do realize I never even graduated from high school, don’t you? Can you imagine me sitting through an algebra class? No way would any school ever let me in anyway, Edward. You’re moving on without me . . . it’s . . . I should have expected it.”

“Not all of college is algebra and chemistry, Joshua. They have a music school at Academy Le Tour. I bet if you’re honest in your admission’s application, they’ll take the extenuating circumstances into consideration. You’re a really talented musician. No way they’ll turn down an amazing violinist like you down, not with your creativity” Edward explained.

“I play street corners for money, Edward, not . . . besides . . . do you really think they’ll let me in knowing the truth about me?” Joshua asked.

“I do. The music college is very liberal. And if they turn you down, then I’m not going either. If they reject you because of who you are, then that isn’t the kind of school I want to go to either. We’ll find somewhere else together, then. I’m not going anywhere without you.”

“Come on, I’ll help you with the admission’s application,” Edward offered.

To his surprise, Joshua was accepted into Academie Le Tour. He didn’t qualify for many scholarships, but they were willing to take a chance on a talented musician. Edward and Joshua left for college together.

Author’s Notes

I actually did forget to call a nanny for Lily myself. When Lily got home from school I was so worried. Elizabeth was stuck at work and there was nothing I could do but hold my breath that she would get home before the social worker showed up. It worked out okay, because there was only an hour before Elizabeth got home.

Amaya truly was the largest pregnant sim I’ve ever seen. She was definitely larger than more normal third trimester sims. For a while I began to wonder if she actually was pregnant with natural twins and this was something the game did to tell you. After she gave birth I remembered that she’d gotten fat right before getting pregnant. Ha ha. We’ll have to see if she actually has twins with the next birth or if the Windsor curse of cheesecake not working continues.

I LOVE Caroline’s personality. Finally, I have a randomly nice sim. But, she’s still another Sagittarius. How odd. She has lots of personality points. It’s fun when sims are born in-game that have more personality points than you could assign in CAS.

If you liked the Loren character, you can see an adult Loren in my blog of a new challenge that Wen’s writing.

  1. Aww, too bad you had to split them up, but after the kids get old enough, Andrew can move back in. Oh, so that's who this Loren is. Interesting. I like him about as much as I liked the other one. Sophie grew up beautiful. And Lily's cute too. Oh, a pop sim? Hmmm, maybe my hoped-for OTP won't come to be. I love that name, Caroline. Good luck getting a boy.

  2. That was interesting. I was really nervous when Philip was telling Amaya she had to have more children. I'm glad it worked out!

  3. A lot of things sure happened this time! I am glad the social worker did not come for Lily. They can be really crazy about children being left alone for a few minutes. That makes sense for toddlers, but big schoolkids should be able to wait for an hour! Anyway, I'm glad it went well!
And it seems for now at least that Sophie is a good judge of character. It was interesting to see history repeat itself, in a manner of speaking, without her brother noticing at first.

Anyway, I always enjoy these updates, they are very lifelike and speak to the heart. Thank you!
